Jay Roberts I

In 1983 he was promoted to Manager and in 1985 was promoted again to District Manager overseeing the operation of six stores in the Houston market.

In 1988 he purchased a store from a Bank and over the next 10 years opened or purchased six more.

In 1992 Jay compiled a training program for store level operations and says it has been a work in progress every since.

In 1998 he sold his Company and re-located his family to Missouri where he joined National TV Sales & Rental that had 10 stores as the Director of Training and Development. Soon thereafter he was promoted to Vice President of Operations. National TV Sales & Rental grew to 17 stores in the 12 year period between 1998 and 2010.

While with National Jay conducted over 100 classes training over 1000 Rent to Own professionals from entry level to Management virtually covering all aspects of Rent to Own operations.

In 2010 Jay resigned his position with National TV Sales & Rental to begin his Consultant, Training and Coaching practice.

Over the years Jay has done many presentations for State Associations ranging from Texas to Tennessee and from Missouri to Ohio. He has also done several seminars for APRO (Association of Progressive Rental Organizations).

He has also published several articles in Progressive Rentals and on RTO Online over the years and spent several years as the Operations Editor for RTO Online.

His Coaching program has been designed for the three levels of Management in a Rent to Own Company. Upper, Middle and Lower Management. It has a dual purpose, to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the Rent to Own professional that will in turn increase the overall profitability of the store, District and Company.
